The Dark Knight Trailer Rises

…And So Do Some Posters & Pictures & Shit, Too!

I can usually tell how a movie is going to go based on the quality of the previews that show before it.

For example “Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows Parts 1 & 2” both had excellent previews and were both kickass movies. I missed the ones for “Black Swan” but I’m sure they would’ve been good, and while I have no way to be certain because I would rather pay NOT to watch one than ever go to the theater to support a “Twilight” film, but my guess is that the previews for those were all UN-Godly horrible.

Today I took my Dad to see Marvel’s “The Avengers” in Imax 3D which was totally f%#king awesome (he loved it too, by the way); and even if I hadn’t known for myself that it would be, or knew it would be before I’d heard from a million people that it was, or before I heard from the comic people on my Twitter when they saw it at the special premier forever ago, or just knew that it would be because it’s Joss Freaking Whedon and Marvel and The Avengers so how could it not be- I would have known from watching the previews.

One preview in particular stood out and compelled me to find it and post it for you to see as well. While doing that, I came across some movie posters that were just released and decided to share those too. After that I just figured “what the Hell” and found the previously released posters, teaser trailers, and some movie stills. Just some fun stuff to check out before the movie come out later this summer!

The videos go in order of their release- just click the little red “chat bubble” looking thing to “Hide Annotations”- which means “to get the crap off the screen.” I’m truly sorry about that- I had a hard time finding videos without something obnoxious along those lines (an ad you had to sit through, a giant logo in one corner, etc.) & I’m still learning about video embedding x-D I hope you can still enjoy them!

Looks pretty good to me; but then I’ve liked all of the Batman movies so far- particularly the Tim Burton ones. (Though I should be clear that I don’t count the one with Clooney at Batman and my Ex-Governator as Mr. Freeze- even though I love both Uma Thurman and Poison Ivy.) So until we meet again; Same Bat-time, same Bat-channel!

I Am Vengeance; I Am The Night!

F#%&ing AWESOME New Avengers Trailer

You may have already seen the trailer for Marvel’s Avengers movie coming out this summer; for one it aired during the Super Bowl, plus it’s been online basically ever since. But if you haven’t than I wanted to provide an opportunity to check it out because it is the complete and total essence of all that is bad-assery.

I also wanted to put up my assortment of pictures that I’ve accumulated over the months: pics from on the set, movie stills, the gorgeous promotional artwork from Comic-con, a peek at what the action figures are going to look like once released, and so on.

Enjoy!

And just as a reminder: there’s only a few more days left until the new episode of The Walking Dead premiers! You can bet I’ll have pictures and plenty to say about it- only I’m not sure how fast it will go up.

You’ll just have to forgive me too, because the reason for it is that my sister is having a baby in about….34 hours!

Aaaahh!! I’m so excited!!

So I’m going to be a little busy, even with my new laptop 🙂

Halo: 4 Teaser and Combat Evolved Anniversary Video Mix

I know it’s a bit dated now but I was rather proud of my work on this one: this is the trailer with extended gameplay footage for Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, along with all-new (at the time) screen stills and the teaser trailer for the upcoming Halo 4, compiled for use in an article I wrote. A copy of that article is what follows the video.

Halo Celebrates It’s Anniversary With A Gift For You

Plus the “Grunt Funeral” Skull – An exclusive, game-modifying skull that changes the rules of the game for an explosively humorous experience: once the skull has been activated, every grunt’s methane tank will explode like a plasma grenade when killed, sending Halo’s most lowly and lovable enemy out in a blaze of glory. And plasma. And then some more glory. You get it.

More information on Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary will be revealed at Halo Fest, which will be held Aug. 26 through 28 in Seattle, Washington to celebrate this record-shattering series of games that has sold more than 40 million copies worldwide, and has been the driving force behind more than 3.3 billion hours of gameplay by people connected to Xbox LIVE!

And speaking of this game series, fans are literally counting down the days until the release of the next installment; Halo 4, and soaking up any details that can be found. So far not much has been revealed, but this much we know for sure:

The description says it’s “Set in the aftermath of Halo 3, Master Chief returns to confront his own destiny and face an ancient evil that threatens the fate of the entire universe.”

We were also told that the release of Halo 4 in 2012 marks the start of a whole new game trilogy!

(Let’s just hope Halo 4, 5, and 6 are more like Star Wars: Episodes IV, V, and VI and not like Rocky 4, 5, and 6.)

And because I know how very, very badly gamers want the next, all-new installment in the Halo story no-matter how awesome Combat Evolved Anniversary is sure to be, I thought I’d do a little mixing with the CEA trailer and gameplay videos and throw in the trailer for Halo 4, along with the released images…and some never-before-seen stills. Give it my own spin, just for fun.

Hope you all enjoy! -Dianthrax                                                                                                             (Which, so you know, is not my Gamertag)
