Halo: 4 Teaser and Combat Evolved Anniversary Video Mix

I know it’s a bit dated now but I was rather proud of my work on this one: this is the trailer with extended gameplay footage for Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, along with all-new (at the time) screen stills and the teaser trailer for the upcoming Halo 4, compiled for use in an article I wrote. A copy of that article is what follows the video.

Plus the “Grunt Funeral” Skull – An exclusive, game-modifying skull that changes the rules of the game for an explosively humorous experience: once the skull has been activated, every grunt’s methane tank will explode like a plasma grenade when killed, sending Halo’s most lowly and lovable enemy out in a blaze of glory. And plasma. And then some more glory. You get it.

More information on Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary will be revealed at Halo Fest, which will be held Aug. 26 through 28 in Seattle, Washington to celebrate this record-shattering series of games that has sold more than 40 million copies worldwide, and has been the driving force behind more than 3.3 billion hours of gameplay by people connected to Xbox LIVE!

And speaking of this game series, fans are literally counting down the days until the release of the next installment; Halo 4, and soaking up any details that can be found. So far not much has been revealed, but this much we know for sure:

The description says it’s “Set in the aftermath of Halo 3, Master Chief returns to confront his own destiny and face an ancient evil that threatens the fate of the entire universe.”

We were also told that the release of Halo 4 in 2012 marks the start of a whole new game trilogy!

(Let’s just hope Halo 4, 5, and 6 are more like Star Wars: Episodes IV, V, and VI and not like Rocky 4, 5, and 6.)

And because I know how very, very badly gamers want the next, all-new installment in the Halo story no-matter how awesome Combat Evolved Anniversary is sure to be, I thought I’d do a little mixing with the CEA trailer and gameplay videos and throw in the trailer for Halo 4, along with the released images…and some never-before-seen stills. Give it my own spin, just for fun.

Hope you all enjoy! -Dianthrax                                                                                                             (Which, so you know, is not my Gamertag)
